they're too... already got there thing; like vanessa had her moment with The HSM's; & brenda song has a few characters she's played on TV shows; (phil of the future; suite life of zack & cody; suite life on deck; & the movie collage road trip)

& i think that to play leah clearwater; they should get someone new; that not many people have noticed/seen before; it gives it a... new thing; if you have a movie; full of people that you;ve seen there acting skills and you'd be like; aww yea there nothing new;
but with twilight it made a diff.

I really like Brenda and Vanessa as actresses, but Leah Clearwater is an agressive character in the Twilight Saga beccause of her painn.
she is a big part of understandingg sam and emily and hers relationship.

um.....this is the stupidist thing i've ever heard. They are NOT right for the part. can't they find anyone better. I love the other character choices, but this is one bad decision that nobody is going to forget. I'm already mad that they were thinking of taking out Taylor Lautner. My friend says she isn't going to see new moon if they don't put taylor in, or if they put in brenda or vanessa. and i've never liked vanessa after the pictures that we on the internet, and i dont think that is a good way of representing someting we all love so much

well, i don't like either of them for the part. Because, whenever I see Vanessa I think of HSM, and whenever I see Brenda I think of the Suite Life..so, I can't imagine having to watch either of them in NEW MOON..that would be so weird for me to see, and probably a lot of other people. It wouldn't ruin the movie at all, but, i think whoever is casting them should think about that before they cast either of them. Also, neither of them even looks enough like how i picture Leah!!

I know native americans are hard to find, but I think they should find an actress that isn't well known. i think that vanessa looks too "sweet" to play Leah, Brenda would probably be better out of the two. She has a little bit more edge. But i personally think neither could pull it off that well. but i would go for a Brenda.

I truly and honestly think that its not that they couldnt pull it off, but they need to stop throwing disney into so many things! im sorry, but this movie is not made for disney bandwagoners who are like 9-12, its made for older teens and even young women. It's not just another dumb teen movie, and to twlight fans its a big deal that it stays its own thing, instead of becoming one of disneys peppy little crap that they got going on. And personally i am one of those fans.
I totally feel everyone on the part that Leah is a person who needs to be portrayed in a more tortured perspective then a "i lost the love of my life but its okay! because im a disney star! wee!". like no, thats not gonna fly.
Its not even about how professional they are, its just that their not right for the part.

Vanessa is to Slutty and she does have a innocent look.Brenda has been aggressive in movies.But people are right this isn't a prep movie this is a Vampire movie.Actually Vanessa is more Filipino then Native American. I think Selena could play the part too. she is a good actress. Either way I am still going to see the movie

We Twilight fans deserve MORE of what we have already gotten. I doubt any real 'knowns' would have done the first film and now that it is huge they are going to line up. Stick to what works.... find an 'unknown' or at least not someone well known at all. The first movie worked GREAT just the way it was.... I do not want the movie mucked up with HSM Vanessa, Brenda. I don't think true Twilight fans are looking for big Hollywood or Disney channel fames for our movie..... Personally when I see New Moon, I want to feel like I'm starting right where I left off - like turning the page of a book.

I think brenda song for sure. She is way better for the part, she looks more like a native american then Vanessa. High School Musical is so big that everyone will keep thinking of her as gabriela and not leah. It will ruin the illusion. With twilight they pretty much got not very well know actors and actresses and now you really only think of them as the character they play. I would not do Vanessa, if i had to pick i would say Brenda or someone undiscovered as "melly cullen<3" said.
